2) Jim Deren, White Lake: 19:10 (close finish!)
3) Ray Jeffery, Highland 19:42
Congratulations, everyone, for a great run on a challenging course! Anthony and Jim had a real barn-burner up the big "grinder" hill at the end to make for an exciting finish. We're very pleased with our record number of participants and great feedback on this Highland nature-oriented course! See this pictorial and historical view of this year's race. We can't wait until next year's race. And thank you to our sponsors, who generously donated gifts and time:
- Houston Fitness Consultants, a Highland-based Fitness studio
- Colasanti's Market, a long-time Highland staple
- Highland Feed, also a staple of the community and starting point of the race
We couldn't have even made the event happen without volunteers from the Highland Conservancy, fitness/flexibility trainer Suzy Morris, township treasurer Mary McDonell, supervisor Triscia Pilchowski, and the ever-present-in-Highland, ubiquitous Mr. Roscoe Smith.
Last Year: 2009 - Complete! The winner is:
Marv Zurek from Highland, with a time of 23:57.
Congratulations, Marv, for a great run on a challenging course! And thank you to Houston Fitness Consultants, a Highland-based Fitness studio, for their contribution of Breakin' Down the Barriers, a fitness book co-written by Dan Houston. For more information, contact Ron Flannery @ 248-887-8470 x 40, or email us now.
